Dengan kata lain, ketika distribusi barang pokok penting tidak lancar atau terjadi lonjakan harga, PDP yang akan turun garis bersar, dia menjelaskan, peran PDP ini berbeda dengan pasar induk. Semua komoditas yang didistribusi ke lokasi ini tidak dijual berperan dalam menyuplai distributor atau pasar-pasar yang ada. seperti Pasar Induk Cikopo. Keberadaan PDP ini bersinergi dengan pasar atau distributor yang ada, tidak menjadi sambung Wita, pembangunan lokasi untuk PDP ini berada di Jalan Raya Sadang-Subang, tepatnya sekitar areal balai pembibitan pertanian milik Pemprov Jawa Barat di Kecamatan keberadaan PDP ini juga bisa dimaksimalkan oleh para petani sebagai penyuplai komoditas pertanian di harga komoditas sayuran di wilayahnya, tambah dia, harga cabai rawit masih meraja. Berdasarkan catatan di tiga pasar yang ada, yakni Pasar Wanayasa, Leuwipanjang dan Citeko, harga komoditas itu masih bertahan di level Rp100 ribu per kilogramnya.“Untuk Cabai rawit memang bukan kebutuhan pokok masyarakat.
